About the Job

The Cleanroom Assistant shall aid in all activities related to the compounding pharmacy area such as movement of materials and finished goods in and out of compounding pharmacy classified area, boxing of finished goods and routine cleaning and organization of materials. Compounding Pharmacy Cleanroom Assistants will perform their duties to adhere to Company policies and procedures, state and federal laws pertaining to pharmacy, compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following but not limited to:

  • Clean medications and supplies according to standard operating procedures and transfer into compounding pharmacy classified area.
  • Organize kits and compounding pharmacy supplies inside classified pharmacy area utilized for compounding of sterile products
  • Transfer finished products from classified pharmacy area to post-production for inspection, labeling, and packaging.
  • Package and box finished goods
  • Perform routine daily cleaning of classified pharmacy compounding area and pre­ production staging area (1SO-7 and ISO-8 areas).
  • Must be able to perform some tasks in a bunny suit garb.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations as it pertains to 21 CFR 210, 21 CFR 211, and USP standards.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow documents such as standard operating procedures, manuals and diagrams.
  • Ability to follow instructions and apply common sense.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively on a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various levels of workload
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness especially when in the pharmacy compounding area.
  • Able to work a full shift with bunny suit garb and goggles in a sterile environment.
  • Able to work weekends/evenings (as required).

Education & Experience

  • High School or GED required.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment recommended, but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Working conditions vary; work may be performed in but is not limited to the compounding pharmacy area, boxing areas and warehouse.
  • Exposure to chemical cleaning agents and pharmaceutical agents.
  • Must frequently lift and/up move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to stand for hours throughout the day.
  • Must be able to garb and gown in a bunny suit and goggles.
